SAN DIEGO · CALIFORNIA

Greg Gibsen is an engineering executive with over 20 years of experience building and leading software and security organizations for regulated, high-scale environments — spanning defense, data warehousing, gaming, healthcare, medical devices, and enterprise SaaS.

He currently serves as Senior Manager of Software Engineering in Platform Security at ServiceNow, where he leads teams building the company's platform security capabilities and supporting AI governance for enterprise customers. At ServiceNow, Greg has built engineering teams from the ground up and directed initiatives at extraordinary scale — including an 18+ month, company-wide effort spanning more than 2,000 engineers to retire legacy 3DES cryptography in favor of AES, and the architecture and delivery of a secure key-exchange protocol deployed across all ServiceNow instances, for which he holds a U.S. patent.

He also led the design and launch of Security Center, a customer-facing product that achieved 18% year-over-year adoption, including a novel real-time threat notification feature reaching more than 10,000 enterprise customers. Before ServiceNow, Greg held engineering leadership roles at Sotera Wireless, LabCorp (Sequenom), and Teradata Corporation, where he led cloud migrations, mission-critical platform rewrites, and global hybrid engineering organizations of up to 20 people across onshore and offshore locations.

Across these roles, he has consistently taken ownership of stalled or ambiguous projects and converted them into shipped products with measurable business impact — from contract expansions to double-digit reductions in incident response time. He is based in San Diego, California.
